How it started VS How it’s going…
Back in March 2020 – Mining Skills Australia opened it’s first office, in the centre of Brisbane CBD, with a total of 4 staff members, a week before the #covid lockdown….
Now, after surviving the #covid19pandemic as a #smallbusiness and through the hard work of our team members and developing long term relationships with our customers and clients, Mining Skills Australia has moved to a larger office space and is proud to be a 60 personnel sized #company comprising of our CBD office and on site employees.
Our continued growth is very encouraging, and highlights the ongoing needs for our products and services that we can offer as the MSA brand.

Mining Skills Australia creates a realistic experience for our clients
The Animation team here at Mining Skills Australia continues to amaze our clients with their talent and creativity.
Check out how realistic this animation is, created by one of our lead and day one animators, Damon Binstead.
This latest animation was achieved by observing real life footage while trying to replicate all the natural actions and environment, including observing the lighting and adding a hand held motion to the camera angle created, driving a realistic mood to the presentation.
Anyone would think they’re right there on site!
This is outstanding quality and is something Mining Skills Australia is very proud of producing the next level of realism in our animations.

Outstanding Training Initiative Winner of 2022
Without a doubt, Mining Skills Australia’s passion and drive is to provide equal education opportunities for everyone.
This was the motivation (and still is) for developing animation to be used, within the Resource Industry training, as an alternative to the old ‘pen and paper / tick and flick’ approach.
This form of training is not inclusive for those with Language, Literacy or Numeracy difficulties (which is still, much of our workforce in Australia, but also providing supportive pathways for Indigenous Communities and more broadly, Globally).
From the beginnings of animation , to now our incredible team developing augmentedreality, VirtualReality, Gamification and artificialintelligence along with consistent interactive training resource material, Mining Skills Australia has seen a huge positive response not only within the Resource and Mining Industry, but across multiple industries and purposes, enhancing the students learning and knowledge-based education experience.
With that, Mining Skills Australia was proudly presented the Resources Training Council‘s award for ‘Outstanding Training Initiative 2022’, on Monday 30/05/2022.
This is an exceptional honour, and affirmation, as an organisation, that our innovative training and resource services, products and ideas are moving into the future, in the right direction.
Graeme Bradshaw and Andy Holder, Directors of Mining Skills Australia would like to congratulate and thank the team behind MSA and their continued efforts for providing these training resources and continually innovating new and fresh ideas and opportunities, for those who also believe in the importance of equal education.
Mining Skills Australia would also like to thank our current and future clients, customer and supporters who share the same belief for their industries and organisations. Without your support and encouragement, MSA would not be as dynamic and strong as where they are today.
A huge appreciation to all those involved. Thank you.
Special mention to Simon Krismer who was Highly Commended for ‘Outstanding Training Initiative’ excited to be working with you in the future and seeing MSA’s and your enthusiasms for education combined. Well done.
Mining Skills Australia at the Resource Training Council’s Annual Conference
Last week Mining Skills Australia had the honour of presenting at the Resources Training Council’s Annual Conference.
The first RTC conference held in 3 years, due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, it was a great opportunity to support the resources industry, along side other influential resource and industry leaders across Australia.
The team at Mining Skills Australia, including Graeme Bradshaw, Gary Bradshaw, Emma Hutson, Qasim Ahsan and Phil White, discussed the topic, “Does competency meet the requirements for Industry (Lifting the Industry Training Standards)?”
The theme was presented through the following topics:
· Lifting Barriers to Participation
· Ensuring the Quality of Adult Learning
· Recognition and Validation of Learning Outcomes
· Learning and Development Change
· Indicators and Benchmarks
This was also a great opportunity to show how Mining Skills Australia is supporting the resource industry by lifting industry standards through our various mediums of digital and visual technologies and training resources.
The two-day event included discussion and presentations from a range of industry leaders and provided Mining Skills Australia the availability to connect with other Resources Training Council members.
Mining Skills Australia would like to thank and show appreciation to the Resources Training Council and Board for hosting and supporting MSA.

International Legends of League Game Day.
Saturday the 8th of May, was game day and the weather held off for this amazing event.
The community well and truly showed up in their numbers to cheer on the event with a crowd of over 2000’s supporters.
The community field and stands were outstanding and the hospitality on the day from the Biloela Panthers Rugby League club was exceptional.
A huge afternoon of Rugby League with community games playing right up until the main event, the Rebel Sports Callide Valley Allstars versus the Mining Skills Australia Aussie Legends Team.
With Emma as Coach, how could they loose 😉 …ha ha! Lucky for her and the team NRL Legend Terry Matterson was there to not only play, but give her a few pointers!!
It was a fantastic game, with a lot of big hits and plays from both teams with the Rebel Sports Callide Valley Allstars in the lead at half time.
Mining Skills Australia‘s own Emma and Geoff Bradshaw had run on, with Geoff delivering a couple of excellent plays and Emma scoring a try (unfortunately, her field goal kicking was not as good!), and a huge amount of skill and help obviously from the International Legends of League, NRL legends themselves, the Mining Skills Australia Skills Aussie team took the win.
Thank you again to all involved.
International Legends of League Biloela Bowls and Official event dinner
On Friday the 6th of May, Graeme Bradshaw, Andy Holder, Emma Hutson, Rachel Hawker – the Mining Skills Australia Emergency Management Manager, her husband Steve, and Mining Skills Australia own League Legend, Geoff and Michelle Bradshaw – were involved in the Biloela Bowls Competition and afternoon barbeque with other sponsors of the event.
It was a great afternoon with a bit of playful competition between the International Legends of League and other participating sponsors.
Following was the official International Legends of League team dinner, where Graeme Bradshaw was presented the chance to speak about his experiences with Mining Skills Australia and what a wonderful opportunity it means to be an official major sponsor of the event.
Graeme Bradshaw ended the presentation with thanking the community and their support, along with the International Legends of League team.
A fantastic occasion to meet other members of the BANANA SHIRE COUNCIL, Woorabinda Aboriginal Shire Council, Biloeala community, mingle and meet with the players from both the Biloela Panthers and International Legends of League and participate in a charity auction.
Graeme Bradshaw was a heavy participant, even winning the chance for Emma Hutson to coach the Australian International Legends of League team for the big game on the Saturday night!
Thank you again to all sponsors and those involved in the weekend and charity event.
