International Legends of League Game Day

Saturday the 8th of May, was game day and the weather held off for this amazing event.

The community well and truly showed up in their numbers to cheer on the event with a crowd of over 2000’s supporters.

The community field and stands were outstanding and the hospitality on the day from the Biloela Panthers Rugby League club was exceptional.

A huge afternoon of Rugby League with community games playing right up until the main event, the Rebel Sports Callide Valley Allstars versus the Mining Skills Australia Aussie Legends Team.

With Emma as Coach, how could they loose 😉 …ha ha! Lucky for her and the team NRL Legend Terry Matterson was there to not only play, but give her a few pointers!!

It was a fantastic game, with a lot of big hits and plays from both teams with the Rebel Sports Callide Valley Allstars in the lead at half time.

Mining Skills Australia‘s own Emma and Geoff Bradshaw had run on, with Geoff delivering a couple of excellent plays and Emma scoring a try (unfortunately, her field goal kicking was not as good!), and a huge amount of skill and help obviously from the International Legends of League, NRL legends themselves, the Mining Skills Australia Skills Aussie team took the win.

Thank you again to all involved.

International Legends of League Biloela Bowls and Official event dinner

On Friday the 6th of May, Graeme Bradshaw, Andy Holder, Emma Hutson, Rachel Hawker – the Mining Skills Australia Emergency Management Manager, her husband Steve, and Mining Skills Australia own League Legend, Geoff and Michelle Bradshaw – were involved in the Biloela Bowls Competition and afternoon barbeque with other sponsors of the event.

It was a great afternoon with a bit of playful competition between the International Legends of League and other participating sponsors.

Following was the official International Legends of League team dinner, where Graeme Bradshaw was presented the chance to speak about his experiences with Mining Skills Australia and what a wonderful opportunity it means to be an official major sponsor of the event.
Graeme Bradshaw ended the presentation with thanking the community and their support, along with the International Legends of League team.

A fantastic occasion to meet other members of the BANANA SHIRE COUNCIL, Woorabinda Aboriginal Shire Council, Biloeala community, mingle and meet with the players from both the Biloela Panthers and International Legends of League and participate in a charity auction.

Graeme Bradshaw was a heavy participant, even winning the chance for Emma Hutson to coach the Australian International Legends of League team for the big game on the Saturday night!

Thank you again to all sponsors and those involved in the weekend and charity event.

Mining Skills Australia’s introduction to Central Queensland Communities, as Major sponsor of the International Legends of League

Mining Skills Australia was presented with an incredible opportunity to be a major sponsor of the International Legends of League.

It all started last Thursday, 5th of May with a visit to the local BANANA SHIRE COUNCIL communities and their schools, including Woorabinda Aboriginal Shire Council and Baralaba State School, was welcomed with open arms and amazing hospitality.

Graeme Bradshaw, Director, and RTO Manager,Emma Hutson, represented Mining Skills Australia, while the International Legends of League, NRL Legends, spoke to Woorabinda State School, Wadja Wadja High School and Baralaba State School about their personal experiences, how they became legends and inspiring the youth of the communities to focus on their goals, by the message of Dream, Believe, Achieve.

Graeme Bradshaw also had the opportunity to speak about his own personal journey to now, Directing and owning Mining Skills Australia, in partnership with Andy Holder.

Emma Hutson and Graeme Bradshaw were very touched by the opportunity to be involved with the communities and very much appreciated the official and traditional welcome to Woorabinda Aboriginal Shire Council, by the Community Elders followed by a BBQ.

The crew then headed to present at Baralaba State School, followed by a Rugby League coaching clinic made possible by the Biloela Panthers.

Stay tune to get more updates on the event.
