Andy Visits Ferrexpo 22/12/2021/ Posted By : Mining Skills Australia/ 0 comments / Under : General, News, Training Andrew Holder, Mining Skills Australia, Managing Director recently conducted a Training Needs Analysis at the Ferrexpo mines in the Ukraine. Ferrexpo PLC is a Swiss-based commodity trading and mining company which is the third largest exporter of iron ore pellets in the world. Ferrexpo’s operating base is in central Ukraine, where it operates three iron-ore mines and an iron ore pellet production facility. The Training Needs Analysis was conducted over two weeks to evaluate operator mining standards in line with Australian outcomes. The focus was on fine tuning operator technique efficiency and reviewing preventative maintenance opportunities across various truck, shovel, loader and ancillary support equipment. Mining Skills Australia introduced our digitalised Learning and Development platform to support Ferrexpo’s shift trainers to train to International standards so they will be able to support their operators with the relevant knowledge and skills in the future. Mining Skills Australia would like to thank the Ferrexpo training team and the operators for their amazing hospitality and we look forward to continuing the relationship into 2022. We wish Andy safe travels as he returns home to Australia.
