G1, 8 and 9 (Supervisor)

The G1‚ 8, 9 (Supervisor) Course is a requirement for mining supervisors working in the Queensland mining industry and provides you with training in the skills and knowledge that will enable you to undertake the role and perform the duties and position requirements of a supervisor in the mining industry.

Note: This course is delivered and assessed by your employer, as an approved third party, on behalf of Mining Skills Australia.

Entry Requirements
  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have sound language and literacy skills
  • Have basic computer skills
  • Currently working in the mining industry.

  • RIIWHS301E Conduct safety and health investigations

Is Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) available?

Mining Skills Australia has Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Policy and Procedure to ensure that an individual’s prior learning achieved through formal and informal training, work experience or other life experiences is appropriately recognised. This recognition may assist students to progress faster through a unit of competency or allow the student full credit.
